The Mykolaiv Oblast Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service has announced a tender for large-scale maintenance works. The agency is looking for a contractor to carry out additional works on the maintenance of national roads.

This is evidenced by data from the Prozorro public procurement system.

It is planned to spend over UAH 1.6 billion for these purposes. Bids are due by September 20, and the auction is scheduled for September 22. The winning contractor will have to perform a wide range of works on a total length of 814.3 km of roads by April 30, 2027. The works will include strengthening of roadsides, repair of road surface damage and full restoration of sections damaged by natural disasters such as floods and landslides. Also, curbs and road fences will be installed and replaced.

The works will cover key highways, including M-13 Kropyvnytskyi - Platonove, M-14 Odesa - Melitopol - Novoazovsk, H-24 Blahovishchenske - Mykolaiv and other important roads in the region.

A new company with a well-known owner offered the highest prices for road repairs in Mykolaiv. The newly established commercial enterprise Blahoustrii turned out to be the company that offered the highest prices for construction materials in Mykolaiv's road contracts. Despite this, the company does not own any equipment or real estate, and its staff, apart from the director, consists of only four employees.

The journalists checked the prices in the estimates for six main materials for road repairs - from sand and gravel to asphalt and side stones. It turned out that Blagoustriy, together with the Zavodskyi district administration, was the company with the most expensive items in the contracts.

This company has appeared quite recently, but in six months it has already managed to receive contracts worth 6.5 million hryvnias. At the same time, the company does not have its own equipment or real estate - everything is rented. The staff consists of only four people plus the director. The newcomer received its first contract thanks to a dubious 'certificate of experience' from another company, and ten days after registration, it managed to 'brilliantly' complete work in Poltava region. This was enough to win the contract in Mykolaiv.
