Mykolaiv region plans to open an oil mill

Mykolaiv region is preparing to open a new agro-industrial facility, the OLVIA multi-grain oilseed complex.

The project is to be implemented in two phases. It is expected that the OLVIA complex will significantly increase the region's capacity for processing and exporting oilseeds.

This was reported by Latifundist.com, an agribusiness website.

At the first stage, the company has already completed the reconstruction of the elevator, which has a volume of 84,700 m³, and equipped it with modern grain drying and cleaning systems. According to the company, the press and extraction shops, warehouses for meal and husks, as well as a biomass boiler house, oil tanks and its own substation are now in operation.

After the launch of the second stage, the company plans to double its production. To do this, an additional pressing and preparation shop, a second extraction shop, and increased oil storage capacity will be built. In addition, the company plans to set up its own power generation, as well as create a new refining, deodorization and freezing shop.

The plans also include the launch of a bottling shop and new warehouses for finished products and shipments. In the future, OLVIA will develop the deep processing of corn into starch and will be engaged in packaging and selling products on the domestic and foreign markets, the company said in a statement.

Earlier, the amount of loans received by agricultural enterprises in Odesa region under the state program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" since the beginning of the year reached UAH 3 billion.

This amount was collected by 463 agricultural enterprises, and 473 enterprises from Kyiv region ranked first in terms of the amount of loans, which together collected UAH 3.1 billion. Kirovohrad region came in first in terms of the number of enterprises that took out loans - 517 enterprises, but the amount there is less than in Odesa and Kyiv regions and amounted to UAH 2.5 billion.

Since the beginning of the year, 5,158 agricultural enterprises have attracted more than UAH 33.2 billion under this state program. And under other programs, 11 thousand agricultural enterprises have attracted more than 76.3 billion hryvnias.
