The Snihuriv community is preparing to create a memorial complex in honor of its fallen defenders. The community plans to order 149 special memorial signs for the Alley of Glory, for which more than UAH 4.6 million has been allocated in the budget.

The corresponding tender was published on the public procurement portal Prozorro.

The project is funded by the joint efforts of the two communities: Snihurivska urban territorial community has allocated 3.4 million, and Horokhivska rural territorial community - almost 1.2 million.

According to the tender documents, the memorial steles will be made of durable glass (triplex) with an estimated service life of at least 25 years. Each memorial sign measuring 1000 × 500 mm will contain a portrait of a soldier against the background of the sky and a wheat field, as well as information about his rank and years of life.

An important feature will be the presence of a QR code on each ceiling, which will lead to a web page with a detailed history of the defender's life. The contractor has to install all the memorials by the end of June 2026.

Also, new stands with the names of the fallen defenders of Ukraine were unveiled on the Alley of Heroes in Shevchenko Park in Odesa on February 24. The event was timed to coincide with the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. Angelina Lyubchak, head of the Families of Angels of Light NGO, emphasized that the initiative is growing along with the number of families who want to honor their loved ones and noted that the current location designated for the Heroes' Alley is completely filled with memorial stands.

So far, 25 new stands have been added, but the families of the victims insist that the Alley of Heroes should be set up in all districts of the city. The new stands feature photos not only of defenders who were born in Odesa, but also of those who lived in Odesa at the time of the invasion but were born in other cities.
