Mykolaiv region topped the anti-rating of regions by the number of lost and stolen weapons, with more than 169,000 units on the wanted list. At the same time, Kherson region recorded more than 34 thousand such cases, and Odesa region - almost 27.5 thousand.

This is evidenced by the data of the Opendatabot monitoring service.

Since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, 780,465 pieces of lost and stolen weapons have been put on the wanted list. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this is already 66% of the total amount of weapons that have ever been registered.

Since the beginning of 2026 alone, the registry has been updated with almost 150,000 new entries, which is almost as many as in the entire year of 2025. Most cases of loss and theft of weapons were recorded in Mykolaiv region - 169,172 units.

Kyiv and Donetsk regions are also among the regions with the largest number of missing weapons. In Odesa region, 27,453 units of lost or stolen weapons are currently listed in the register, and in Kherson region - 34,404.

Most often , Ukrainians lose or lose assault rifles, hunting rifles, and carbines. The absolute "leader" among the models is the AK-74 assault rifle, accounting for about one in four entries in the register.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs also noted that most cases are recorded promptly - within a week after the disappearance of the weapon. At the same time, more than 173,000 entries were made with a delay of more than a year.

Last year, since the beginning of the full-scale aggression in Ukraine, 491,426 weapons were recorded as either lost or stolen. By type of weapon, assault rifles accounted for the most cases - more than 149,000 units, which is almost a third of the total. Hunting rifles were in second place with over 135 thousand cases. The rest were carbines and pistols, which together accounted for about a quarter of the missing weapons.
