Mykolaiv region: group of drug traffickers faces 12 years in prison

Prosecutors of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent to court an indictment against three residents of Pivdenoukrainsk. The men, who acted as part of an organized criminal group, are suspected of illegally purchasing, storing and selling particularly dangerous psychotropic drugs.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to investigators, the 41-year-old organizer developed a scheme whereby accomplices illegally purchased, packaged and sold psychotropic drugs through "bookmarks". Orders were accepted by phone to avoid direct contact.

During a search of the organizer's home, in addition to drugs, an RGD-5 grenade, two pistols and ammunition were found and seized. He was also charged with illegal possession of weapons. The organizer is currently in custody without bail, while the other members of the group are under house arrest. All the offenders face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the SBU Main Directorate in Mykolaiv region, with operational support from the SBU and the DCO of the Main Directorate in Mykolaiv region. The offenders are charged with violation of Part 3 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for imprisonment for up to 12 years. faces imprisonment for up to 12 years with confiscation of property.

The investigation established that the founder of the Center for Strategic Studies LLC and a number of European companies supplied military goods in 2022-2025 to the Russian shipbuilding company SSZ Vympel (Russia, Yaroslavl region, Rybinsk) and the Vietnamese company BA SON Corporation. It was about the EKPA-2/150-4 air compressors used for the joint construction of the 1241 Molniya project missile boats.
