Mykolaiv region declared 277 weapons

Citizens of Mykolaiv region have legalized 277 firearms and about 24,000 rounds of ammunition. Among the declared weapons are 171 assault rifles, 19 rifles, 20 pistols and 67 smoothbore weapons.

This was reported by the communications department of the Mykolaiv regional police.

The police remind that legalization of trophy or found weapons allows avoiding criminal liability for their possession. After the end of martial law, such weapons can be officially re-registered.

To go through the procedure, you need to contact the nearest police station or call the special line 102. You should have an application and identification documents with you. After the inspection, the weapon will be registered, and the owner will be issued a confirmation document. The police also emphasize that illegal possession of weapons is subject to criminal liability.

Earlier it was reported that 216 applications for declaration of firearms were submitted in Mykolaiv. They declared 238 weapons and about 19 thousand rounds of ammunition.

Kherson region purchased anti-drone guns worth 4 million. The purchase was made without the use of an electronic system. The purchase was financed by the local budget. The cost of one gun complete with three batteries is UAH 391 thousand, and the total amount is UAH 3 million 910 thousand. The contract was signed on August 15, 2025. The expected delivery period is from August 15 to September 15, with the contractual deadline set at the end of the year.

According to the manufacturer, Czech Sokil SPS100 creates radio interference on six channels in the frequency range from 821 MHz to 5.9 GHz. The device's feature is its ease of use: no additional settings are required to switch bands, just pull the trigger. The manufacturer claims that the gun is effective against several drones simultaneously, and the range reaches 1.5 kilometers.
