In 2024, UAH 4.7 million was allocated from the budget of Mykolaiv region to support business.

This was reported by Inna Pankul, Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Development and Regional Policy of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

According to her, assistance to entrepreneurs is provided on a competitive basis. Two competitions were held during the year, with a total of UAH 5 million allocated. More than 80 applications were submitted, of which about 30 finalists were selected after reviewing the documents. As a result, 27 entrepreneurs became winners and received funding totaling UAH 4.7 million.

The official explained that the program, which runs until 2025, provides for four main types of support: partial compensation of interest on loans, partial compensation of the cost of fixed assets, partial compensation of loans for the restoration of assets destroyed due to Russian aggression, and partial compensation of the costs of returning businesses from relocation to Mykolaiv region.

The director of the department noted that each entrepreneur is entitled to receive support in only one area per year. That is, it is impossible to apply for all areas and receive a total of UAH 800 thousand. Each businessman chooses one of the areas of support and applies for financial assistance in that area.

Recently, Intent wrote that Ukrainian enterprises can receive up to 20 thousand euros to improve energy sustainability. Entrepreneurs from Mykolaiv region will also receive funding, as the region is a priority area in terms of the level of the affected energy sector.

In January, teenagers from Mykolaiv region received financial support to implement their own projects aimed at rebuilding communities affected by the war. As part of the program, young people developed ideas for creating public spaces: museums, art locations, and educational centers. A total of $25,000 was allocated for these initiatives.

In Voznesensk, veterans founded a company specializing in the production of concrete products for construction. The entrepreneurs plan to create jobs for their comrades-in-arms and support them in difficult life circumstances.
