Mykolaiv has identified the provider of the charitable assistance provided by the NGO Youth of Ukraine. It is about the water dispensing points donated by the benefactors to the city.

According to the decision of the Executive Committee of the Mykolaiv City Council, the recipient of this assistance was the Municipal Enterprise "Pilot".

As part of the community support, the city received modern water distribution points, each of which includes a well with a submersible pump, a water treatment system and an adjacent territory.

The new facilities are located at the following addresses:

The total cost of this charitable assistance is over UAH 3.9 million.

According to the executive committee, reliable access to drinking water is one of the key needs of the city, especially in times of military challenges. The city leadership expressed gratitude to the donors for their contribution to the restoration of critical infrastructure and emphasized that such assistance is extremely important for the residents of Mykolaiv.

By August 2025, Mykolaiv plans to restore centralized drinking water supply. The cost of construction was reduced from UAH 8 billion to UAH 5 billion, while the project itself was significantly improved. A modern water intake station and partial converters were added to the project, which were not previously envisaged.

The French company EgIS is already working on a feasibility study for the construction of new wastewater treatment plants for the city. In addition, the European Investment Bank is considering participating in the financing of this critical project.

Recently, Vitalii Kim , head of the Mykolaiv Regional Water Authority, noted that the construction of a water pipeline from Nova Odesa to Mykolaiv is planned to be completed by the fall of 2025. UAH 8 billion has already been allocated for this project.

Last year, UAH 80 million was allocated from the city budget to provide access to drinking water. The city council also made a number of decisions to improve water supply. In 2025, the number of water purification systems increased from 203 to 213, and funding for the relevant program increased from UAH 64.1 million in 2024 to UAH 80.8 million in 2025.
