Mykolaiv attracted more than UAH 2 billion in international aid in 2025.

According to the Mykolaiv City Council, this statement was made by Deputy Mayor Serhiy Korenev during a staff meeting.

According to him, the city received both financial and technical support from international partners.

In particular:

The largest amounts of resources were allocated to the development of key areas of the city's life.

The main areas of funding:

The city authorities note that the attracted resources allow maintaining the stable operation of critical infrastructure and gradually restoring the city in the face of war.

As Intent wrote, Mykolaiv will receive 40 tramcars from the Swedish city of Gothenburg. These are M29 trams, which were previously used in the Swedish urban transportation system.

Earlier, Mykolaiv received a number of high-tech devices and equipment for infrastructure development. The humanitarian aid came from the US government, and the Mykolaiv authorities adopted changes to the rules for receiving international technical assistance.

In December 2024, a new batch of equipment arrived in Mykolaiv to equip the future plant for recycling construction waste caused by the destruction caused by shelling by Russian troops.

The city also received new equipment to restore water supply and eliminate the consequences of the war. As a result of constant shelling since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, almost all of the city's critical infrastructure has been damaged. The water supply system was particularly affected, destroyed during the offensive in March 2022, leaving more than 200,000 residents of Mykolaiv without centralized water supply.
