In Mykolaiv region, 14 hectares of reserve land were appropriated. The State Geocadastre in Mykolaiv region has once again violated environmental legislation.
This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The Pervomaiskyi court upheld the claim of the district prosecutor's office to return 14 hectares of valuable nature reserve land to the state. The value of the land is 148 million hryvnias.
Prosecutors found that the State Geocadastre in Mykolaiv region, in violation of environmental legislation, illegally transferred to seven citizens plots of protected land located within the Buzky Gard National Nature Park. Each of them received 2 hectares.
The land was intended for personal farming, but later these citizens sold it to another party, which became a defendant in the case.
These actions led to the fact that state protected lands became privately owned, disguised as agricultural land. The court recognized these actions as unlawful and ordered the return of the illegally acquired land to state ownership.
This is not the first time that the reserve's land has been transferred to other parties, changing its intended purpose. For example, in Mykolaiv region, the prosecutor's office went to court demanding that the state return the forest fund to the state. The land plot, worth UAH 170 million, was illegally withdrawn from the ownership of the state enterprise Forests of Ukraine.
Recently, employees of the State Agency of Forestry were found guilty of conspiracy and abuse of office and face up to eight years in prison. The investigation found that the 71- and 33-year-old certified land surveyors conspired and forged a state act on the right of private ownership of an agricultural land plot .
Five agricultural land plots with a total area of more than 17 hectares were also confiscated. They were owned by Russian citizens. Their value is almost half a million hryvnias.
