On Saturday, February 15, due to weather changes in Mykolaiv, road services switched to an enhanced mode of operation.

According to Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych, specialists and special equipment of the municipal enterprise ELU Avtoshlyakh are on duty. Combined sprinkling machines and loaders are also ready to treat the streets with anti-icing agents. The company's duty dispatcher is monitoring the situation in real time.

We have also agreed with the police on a list of the most problematic road sections where traffic jams may form due to bad weather. Utilities will pay special attention to these routes.

According to the Mykolaiv Regional Center for Hydrometeorology, icy conditions will remain on the roads of Mykolaiv Oblast until the end of February 15 and throughout February 16, which may hamper traffic.

On Saturday, February 15, an atmospheric front will bring snow and rain to the region, with ice forming in some places. Northwest winds with gusts of up to 15-20 m/s are expected, which may create hazardous conditions. The air temperature will range from -3 to +2 degrees.
On February 16 and 17, precipitation will stop, but it will become colder. During the day, the temperature will remain within -5...0°C, and at night it will drop to -10°C. Winds will decrease to 5-10 m/s, forecasters said.
