Mykolaiv plans to raise fares in the city

Mykolaiv is preparing to revise city bus fares - a draft decision has been submitted to the executive committee. It is not about the already approved prices, but only about the intention to set economically reasonable tariffs for carriers.

This is evidenced by the draft decision of the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council.

It concerns the establishment of tariffs for the transportation of one paid passenger and luggage in buses operating in the "route taxi" and "regular" modes. The reason for the price revision is the increase in carriers' costs, including rising fuel and materials prices and an increase in the minimum wage.

According to the draft, the tariff for carriers may be 18 hryvnias for a trip of up to 10 km and 20 hryvnias for longer distances. Separately, increased tariffs were envisaged for neighborhoods that are effectively equivalent to suburban areas: UAH 20 to Varvarovka, UAH 25 to Matviyivka and Velyka Korenyha, and UAH 30 to Mala Korenyha.

The document also provides for a social norm: students of schools from grades 1 to 11 (12) will be able to pay 50% of the fare if they have a student card from September 1 to June 1. This decision is still only a draft and will come into force only after it is approved by the executive committee.

The draft decisions apply to the following city carriers, including Privatavtolux LLC, MIS PE, TFT PE, IVA PE, Etalonavto LLC, Gurig-Service LLC, Auto-Viola PE, Alan-Techno LLC, and Eurotranstechservice LLC.

In early April, the new low-floor buses were brought to the final stage of preparation for launch in Mykolaiv, where the city received modern transport to update its routes. This is a batch of vehicles worth up to €4.5 million, which have received temporary permits to operate on the line.
