Mykolaiv Parks Unveil New Snow Removal Equipment for Winter

Mykolaiv Parks showed how the new snow removal equipment is working in the city.

The video of sidewalk clearing was posted on the utility's Facebook page.

The footage shows how a small wheeled vehicle with a brush effectively removes ice and snow on Central Avenue.

"Winter has come to us, and we are ready for it!" the utility said.

Earlier, Intent wrote that Mykolaiv Parks purchased modern special equipment for street cleaning worth a total of UAH 45 million. We are talking about 5 new sweepers with attachments.

On November 1, Mykolaiv Parks held an open tender for the purchase of 5 multifunctional sweepers complete with attachments.

The bidding was attended by a single participant who offered to supply the special equipment for UAH 43 million 184 thousand, which is UAH 2 million less than the budgeted amount. Initially, it was planned to spend UAH 45 million 403 thousand. Thus, JV KBT LLC was awarded the contract without competition. The agreement was signed on November 13.

According to the YouControl service, JV KBT LLC was registered in 2002 in Kyiv. The head of the company is Oleksandr Shetsko.

Earlier, Mykolaiv City Council signed an agreement with the Danish Export Investment Fund. The agreement provides grant support for the purchase of modern equipment for the city's improvement. The document was signed by Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych and the fund's financial director, counselor at the Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine, Kare Andreasen. Under the grant agreement, the Danish fund is to finance 40% of the loan amount for the purchase of five new sweepers. The loan funds were raised under the government program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9".
