Mykolaiv parafencer wins bronze at the World Championships

On the first day of competition at the World Wheelchair Fencing Championships, Dmytro Serezhenko from Mykolaiv region won bronze.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Center "Invasport".

The World Para-Fencing Championships are being held in Iksan, South Korea, from September 2 to 7. Athletes from 28 countries are taking part in the competition, including four representatives of Mykolaiv's Invasport: <b>Dmitry Seryozhenko, Oleg Naumenko, Tatiana Poznyak</b> and <b>Alexey Zakusilov</b>.

Ukrainian volleyball players Daria Romaniuk and Eva Serdyuk won the European Beach Volleyball Championships (U22 age group), which ended in Austria. The athletes from Chornomorsk won all three matches in the group stage, defeating rivals from Slovakia and Norway in the round of 16 and quarterfinals, defeating a duo from France in two sets in the semifinals, and defeating Czechs Katerina and Anna Pavelkov in the final. Thus, Eva and Daria did not give up a single game to their opponents during the tournament. Prior to that, the duo of Maryna Hladun and Tetiana Lazarenko won the European Senior Championships.

The Kherson athlete brought back two silver medals in para athletics from Dubai. According to the press service of the Kherson Regional Athletic Association, Ukraine was represented at the championship by eight paralympians, including Ivan Tetyukhin, an athlete of the Kherson Regional Center "Invasport" and a pupil of the Children's and Youth Sports School . The Kherson athlete showed excellent results and won two silver medals in the 100 and 200 meters in the T35 class.
