Mykolaiv has announced a tender for emergency services worth over UAH 20 million. The services are to be provided around the clock, and the winner will be announced in early March.

This is evidenced by the data of the electronic public procurement system Prozorro.

The Department for Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of the Mykolaiv City Council has announced a tender for the provision of permanent and mandatory emergency rescue services in the city.

It is planned to spend UAH 21 million 256 thousand 789 on the services.

Bidders can submit their proposals until February 28, and the auction is scheduled for March 3, 2025. The minimum price reduction step is UAH 212 thousand 567. Bidders are not required to provide a bid security.

The service covers round-the-clock emergency and rescue services for the city until December 31, 2025, including emergency response, accident elimination, and public safety.

According to the tender description, the emergency service must ensure rapid arrival at the scene, assess the situation, rescue people, eliminate hazards (smoke, gas, explosion threat, collapse, flooding, etc.) and comply with safety rules. The service must coordinate the work of its units, attract the necessary resources, resolve complications during rescue operations, and provide an opinion on the further safe operation of facilities. The rescuers will also participate in exercises and develop emergency response plans.

Payment under the contract will be made within 10 business days after the invoice is issued. The winning bidder must provide documented experience in performing similar work on the subject of the contract. The bidding will decide who will take on this mission.

Recently, Mykolaiv's housing and maintenance department announced a tender for the purchase of 2,000 cubic meters of hardwood firewood for defense facilities, with delivery by April 11, 2025. Meanwhile, a contract worth more than UAH 86 million for the construction of a warning system for Mykolaiv region may go to a company with a dubious reputation.

The region is also actively implementing large-scale infrastructure projects to restore water supply and strengthen defense capabilities. However, a significant part of the contracts is distributed without open tenders, and among the contractors are companies that have previously been involved in criminal cases related to embezzlement of budget funds.
