A meeting of entrepreneurs and local government representatives was held in Mykolaiv Oblast to discuss energy-efficient solutions. Participants were looking for ways to ensure stable business operations in the face of possible power outages and to receive financial support for innovation.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

This is the first meeting this year within the framework of the Dialogue between Government and Business platform dedicated to energy efficiency solutions and their financing. The event brought together about 60 participants - representatives of businesses, institutions and organizations - to discuss ways to ensure stable operation in the face of possible emergency power outages.

According to Oleksandr Korolyov, Director of the Economic Development Department of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, the enemy continues to terrorize the region, so the topic was chosen.

"We chose the topic of energy efficiency for a reason. As the enemy continues to terrorize the region, emergency and emergency power outages are possible. And business needs to work, so today we are looking for ways to solve problems together," said Korolev.

Participants learned about energy-efficient solutions for their projects, funding opportunities from the Decarbonization Fund of Ukraine, and the nuances of electricity imports.

They also discussed how to implement energy efficient technologies and where to look for financial support for projects. Experts emphasized the importance of rapid business adaptation to an unstable energy system and shared practical tips on how to save resources.

In October, the regional platform "Dialogue between Government and Business" was launched in Mykolaiv to help establish effective cooperation between entrepreneurs and local authorities to quickly resolve business issues. Thanks to the platform's support, war veterans and their families received more than UAH six million to start and develop their own businesses, and more than a hundred veterans were provided with prosthetics and rehabilitation.

During the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine in Mykolaiv, the results of work on energy independence and the region's Sustainability Plan were presented. Nine alternative energy facilities are planned to be launched by 2026: 30.9 MW solar and 28.8 MW wind power plants.

In addition, the region is implementing more than 40 energy efficiency projects in cooperation with donors and businesses. More than UAH 48 million has been allocated for the energy saving program - these funds will be used to insulate kindergartens, repair power grids, and modernize the boiler house.
