Mykolaiv plans to install uninterruptible power supplies for traffic lights. This will cost about five million hryvnias from the local budget.

This is evidenced by data from the Prozorro public procurement system.

The customer was the municipal specialized installation and maintenance enterprise of Mykolaiv.

The company plans to spend UAH 4 million 976 thousand 640 on the sources.

The auction is scheduled to start on August 29. The minimum price reduction step is UAH 49,766.

The winner of the auction must secure its tender offer in the form of a bank guarantee in the amount of UAH 75 thousand. The guarantee must be irrevocable.

The goods must be delivered within 5 calendar days, but no later than November 1, 2024.

The installation of such traffic lights in the city is already underway. In the event of a power outage, traffic lights are turned off along with other consumers during scheduled and emergency outages, which creates difficulties for drivers at intersections and leads to accidents, especially on main roads. To solve this problem, the city has started installing autonomously powered traffic lights.

Mykolaiv is also restoring street lighting. Old lamps are being replaced with energy-efficient ones. The street lighting system is currently undergoing testing, with lights gradually being connected to identify possible malfunctions. Soon the lighting in the city will be restored.

The region is also expanding the installation of solar panels to ensure energy independence for key infrastructure facilities such as hospitals and schools.

In addition, new transformers have been installed in Mykolaiv region with the help of the US Agency. The power supply has now been restored to tens of thousands of consumers. Forty-two transformers were installed in Mykolaiv.
