Alfa-Bionic LLC from Mykolaiv has won the auction for the privatization of the Odesa Experimental Prosthetic and Orthopedic Enterprise. The company agreed to purchase the plant for over UAH 53.5 million.
According to the Prozorro.Sale electronic system, two bidders, City-Trade-Dnipro LLC and Alfa-Bionic LLC, competed for the asset put up by the State Property Fund. The starting price of the prosthetic plant was UAH 46.3 million. The complex, located in Odesa on Heroiv Krut Street, covers 5,528.6 sq m of real estate and has 32 properties, vehicles and plots with a total area of 1.25 hectares. The lot includes 14 buildings, as well as structures and communications not subject to state registration, three land plots with a total area of 1.253 hectares and seven vehicles. As of June 30, 2024, the company employed 75 people. The new owner must maintain the company's business profile for 10 years and not dismiss its employees for six months.
Odesa Prosthetic and Orthopedic Enterprise has been producing medical and dental instruments, orthoses, bandages and other products for individual prosthetics for 77 years. The range includes more than 100 items of its own production, including orthopedic footwear, textiles and materials for orthopedics.
During the tender, the highest bid offered by City-Trade-Dnipro was UAH 53 million. Alfa-Bionic, on the other hand, offered UAH 53.5 million. Therefore, the Mykolaiv company was recognized as the winner.
According to the Youcontrol analytical system, Alfa-Bionic has been on the market since 2020. The company is owned by a Georgian citizen Madlena Varderosyan and a Ukrainian citizen, Denys Fidchenko from Odesa. The company produces prostheses for upper and lower limbs, orthoses for upper, lower limbs and torso, orthopedic shoes, wheelchairs with medium activity and electric drive, etc.
