Mykolaiv badminton player Sofia Nikolaeva won two bronze medals at the European Grand Prix.

This was reported by the Department of Youth and Sports of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

The prestigious European badminton tournament '9th LI-NING Zagreb U17 Open 2025' took place in Zagreb, Croatia, from September 19 to 21.

The representative of the city successfully performed at the tournament, winning two bronze medals at once: in singles and doubles.

Earlier, at the World Sumo Championships held in Bangkok (Thailand), Iryna Pasichnyk won gold in the absolute category. In addition, she won a bronze medal in the team event, adding to the treasury of the Ukrainian national team.

The Ukrainian senior sumo team finished the World Championships with ten medals. Teams from 30 countries took part in the competition.

Sergiy Krasnov rode the route of the legendary Tour de France cycling race. The 3,500-kilometer bike ride is divided into 21 stages and is one of the three most prestigious cycling events in the world. The event annually brings together hundreds of professional cyclists and many times more fans of the sport.

Last year, Serhii already covered a similar distance in Ukraine as part of a charity project to support residents of Kherson region. After all, he is from the Left Bank, from the city of Nova Kakhovka. This year, the cyclist decided to ride the roads of France the day before the official stages. All to draw the international community's attention to our country and raise funds for humanitarian demining.

Volleyball players from Chornomorsk became European champions. The athletes won all three matches in the group stage, defeated rivals from Slovakia and Norway in the round of 16 and quarterfinals, defeated a duo from France in two sets in the semifinals, and defeated Czechs Katerina and Anna Pavelkov in the final. Thus, Eva and Daria did not give up a single game to their opponents during the tournament.

This season can be called the most successful in the history of Ukrainian beach volleyball - we recall that before that, the duo of Maryna Gladun and Tetiana Lazarenko won the European Senior Championships.
