In Mykolaiv, a project to renovate a section of the main water supply system worth more than UAH 120 million has been approved by the deputy commission.

This became known during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Economic and Investment Policy on April 22.

It is about the reconstruction of a 1000 mm diameter water main along Myru Avenue, on the section from Pivdenna Street to Pogranichna Street.

As explained at the commission, this infrastructure facility was applied for a state subvention funded through the European Investment Bank. The project has already been pre-qualified, and the bank is currently considering the possibility of financing it.

During the meeting, it was proposed to amend the decision of the Mykolaiv City Council of December 23, 2023, on the approval of the Program of Economic and Social Development of the city for 2024-2026.

The commission recommended that this issue be submitted to the city council session and supported.

According to the dream platform, the total cost of the project is approximately UAH 121.7 million, of which UAH 101.5 million is capital expenditure and another UAH 20.3 million is operating expenditure. The project will be implemented by Mykolaivvodokanal.

What is provided for in the reconstruction project:

Intent previously reported that Mykolaiv announced a tender for the reconstruction of the water supply system on Elektronna Street worth almost UAH 20 million. The work should be completed by the end of November 2025.

Meanwhile, the city has launched a project to build modern wastewater treatment facilities for Mykolaivvodokanal as part of the European Investment Bank's program. The city will apply to the Government for a subvention, as it cannot take out a loan for the project on its own.
