More than two million hryvnias were allocated from the Mykolaiv city budget to repair the enclosures for stray animals. The repairs are to be completed by the end of February next year.
This is evidenced by the data of the public procurement system Prozorro.
The tender for the repair of animal enclosures was announced by the Animal Protection Center. The expected cost of the work is UAH 2 million 389 thousand 635, and it is planned to be completed by February 28, 2025.
The minimum price reduction step is UAH 11 thousand 948. <span>Bids are open until November 22, and the auction will take place on November 25.</span>
No security is required to secure the fulfillment of the procurement contract. Payment for the services will be made after the works are completed within 30 days.

The equipment and materials to be used must be new and not in use. The selected contractor must also provide a free-form certificate on the availability of equipment and material and technical base for the provision of services.
In early October, a registration, chipping, and vaccination point was opened at the Animal Protection Center. It will provide services to all pet owners. After chipping, specialists register pets in the AnimalID database. Later, when the unified state pet registry is created, the data will be transferred there.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the number of stray animals, especially dogs, has increased significantly on the streets of Mykolaiv. Many residents, leaving their private homes due to the hostilities, could not take their pets with them, so they let them go outside, hoping that they would find a better life.
