A boiler house reconstruction project was presented in Mykolaiv, which involves the installation of a gas cogeneration unit to improve the city's heat supply. More than UAH 4 million of the required UAH 18 million was allocated from the local budget for the project.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the DREAM ecosystem.
It is planned to reconstruct the boiler house on Sportyvna Street. The project involves the technical re-equipment of the facility with the installation of a gas cogeneration unit. The project will help reduce CO₂ emissions, cut energy costs and ensure a stable supply of heat and electricity for the city.
The main objectives of the project:
According to the description, the project will contribute to the economic development of Mykolaiv through the introduction of modern energy technologies. The use of cogeneration technology will reduce the load on the city's power system and provide electricity to critical infrastructure facilities.
The total budget for the reconstruction is UAH 18 million. Part of the funding - UAH 4.1 million - has already been confirmed from the local budget. However, additional funds, including possible investments and grants, need to be raised to complete the work.
The modernization of the boiler house in Mykolaiv is a strategically important project for the city, which will optimize the heat supply system, reduce financial costs, and improve the environmental situation. Thanks to the use of cogeneration technology, residents will receive better and more stable heat supply, and the city will have an energy-efficient and modern infrastructure.
Mykolaiv also presented a project to improve energy efficiency in the Namiv neighborhood, which involves the installation of individual heating points in high-rise buildings. The initiative will last for two years with a total budget of UAH 70.9 million.
Meanwhile, the village of Novopetrivka, Mykolaiv region, will start reconstructing the water supply system destroyed during the occupation. It is planned to drill an artesian well, install pumping equipment and two new water towers, and part of the funding of UAH 3 million has already been provided by Germany.
