More than 50 thousand patients treated in Mykolaiv hospitals

In 2025, more than 51 thousand patients were treated in municipal healthcare facilities in Mykolaiv

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council.

The post says that during the period of martial law, city healthcare facilities provide all types of medical care 24/7. The assistance is provided in full on the basis of 17 medical institutions in accordance with the agreements concluded with the NHSU under the medical guarantee program.

In 11 months of 2025, more than 51 thousand patients were treated in the city's inpatient facilities, including 3346 children. During this period, 2004 children were born in Mykolaiv, including 20 twins and one triplets.

It is noted that city institutions provide uninterrupted medical care.

For example, an angiograph is still in operation at Hospital No. 1. During this time, the hospital's specialists have performed 1358 coronary angiograms, including 52 for the military. The hemodialysis department has 10 artificial kidney machines and has performed more than 4,500 hemodialysis sessions. To ensure the uninterrupted operation of the facility, UAH 11 million was allocated from the city budget for the purchase of consumables.

The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department of Hospital No. 4 has operated on more than 1,000 patients, including 341 military personnel. The otolaryngology department has operated on more than 500 patients, including 122 military.

Rehabilitation medical care is provided at municipal hospitals #4 and #5. Over 1,500 patients received help during the reporting period, including 291 military personnel.

The city program also provides hip and knee replacements for citizens. This year, the hospitals received 376 sets of joint replacements (81 of which were purchased for UAH 5.9 million at the expense of the city budget). Patients received 166 joints.

The city budget funds dental prosthetics for privileged groups of the population. In the first 11 months of 2025, 369 patients used free services, including 78 military personnel.

City hospitals also provide hearing aids to privileged citizens at the expense of the local budget. During the reporting period, specialists fitted 28 hearing aids to adults, including 13 military personnel.

In 2025, for the first time, the City Children's Hospital No. 2 received 7 hearing aids from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine at the expense of centralized supply. All of them have now been installed.
