Money seized from ex-commander of Mykolaiv housing service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

In Mykolaiv, cash seized during a search as part of a criminal case on embezzlement in the defense sector was seized. The suspicion is against the head of the Mykolaiv State Economic Evaluation Department, who allegedly acted in collusion with entrepreneurs and a company.

This is stated in the decision of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv.

The court ordered the seizure of property seized during a search at the place of residence of one of the defendants in the criminal proceedings. The investigation is ongoing into the embezzlement of property that caused damage to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The seizure included funds in three currencies - US dollars, euros and hryvnias - seized in May 2025 as part of the investigation, amounting to more than UAH 270 thousand.

The investigation concerns the activities of the former head of the Mykolaiv Housing and Maintenance Department, who, according to the investigation, acted in collusion with entrepreneurs and directors of commercial entities, causing damage to the state.

The court ruled that the seized property is material evidence and may contain information necessary to establish the truth in criminal proceedings. The property owner's representative objected to the seizure, but the judge decided to grant the prosecutor's request.

According to the investigation, in 2022-2023, the head of the Mykolaiv Housing and Maintenance Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conspired with entrepreneurs and the director of Agropromservice to misappropriate budget funds. During a search of the KEV on May 8, 2025, a work computer, mobile phones, correspondence in the KEV m. Mykolaiv" chat on WhatsApp, invoices, a book of powers of attorney and other documents - all this property was also ordered by the court to be seized.

Law enforcement is currently continuing the investigation.

In May, a Mykolaiv court seized the property of Katrusia LLC as part of a case of embezzlement of funds intended for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Investigators suspect the head of Mykolaiv's Municipal Economic Management Department of collusion with entrepreneurs and the director of the company.

In May, law enforcement officers conducted a search at the company's registered office in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovs'k region. Among the seized items were an iPhone 14 Pro Max mobile phone, contracts, invoices, invoices, monoblocks, and more.
