A serviceman of the territorial center for recruitment and social support pulled out a traumatic pistol during a dispute with a civilian on the street, but held back and did not shoot.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.

According to the regional TSC, a video of a conflict situation that occurred on November 21 in Odesa during the warning measures was shared on social media. The video shows a clash between a CCC serviceman and civilians with the use of physical force and a demonstration of a traumatic device.

"According to preliminary data, during the document check, the alert group faced an aggressive refusal of the citizen and provocations from unauthorized persons. Unfortunately, during the dispute, the serviceman lost control of his emotions and attempted to use physical force against the civilian. In addition, after spraying tear gas in his face, the soldier took out a device for firing cartridges equipped with rubber bullets, but refrained from using it and returned it to his holster," the TCC said.

A patrol police unit and an investigative team were called to the scene to properly document the incident, record possible offenses and conduct priority investigative (search) actions.

"The leadership of the Odesa Regional Training and Support Center considers the behavior of the soldier unacceptable. Despite the provocations, the soldier must act exclusively within the law and maintain self-control. An internal investigation has already been ordered into this incident. The actions of the serviceman, in particular the attempt to physically influence and demonstrate special equipment, will be given a strict legal assessment, and the perpetrators will be disciplined," the regional military and police center promised.

The police also launched an investigation into the explosion at one of the territorial centers for recruitment and social support in Odesa. According to preliminary data, an unknown object that was in his personal belongings exploded while the military personnel of the Regional Center for Military and Special Forces were talking to a citizen who was in the center. As a result of the detonation, the citizen died at the scene. A serviceman of the JCC and JV was also injured.
