Eight former railroad workers who collaborated with the Russian military during the occupation will be tried in Kherson. The sentence is life imprisonment.

This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation on its Facebook page.

Before the outbreak of full-scale war, all the suspects worked in the rifle team of the Kherson station. After the arrival of Russian troops, six of them became riflemen, and two more became the chief and assistant of the guard.
At the time of the occupation, they were guardians of the enemy army's cargo: weapons, ammunition, and equipment.

Before the liberation of the city by the Ukrainian armed forces, the suspects fled to the left bank of the Dnipro River. All the defendants in the case are charged with treason.
If proven guilty, they face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The so-called "manager of affairs" of the Kakhovka occupation administration was served a notice of suspicion.

In Kherson region, more than 1,500 cases of torture of civilians during the occupation have been confirmed, including about 50 murders as a result of torture. Law enforcement officers have already notified more than a hundred people involved in these crimes, including the Russian military, FSB officers and collaborators.

Viktor Kirillov was sentenced to 9 years in prison for collaboration. He worked as a police officer - a driver of the occupation police unit in the Korabelny district of Kherson. Kirillov had been waiting to leave for Russia for more than 11 months and 9 days. On May 23, he was handed over to Russia as part of an exchange.

As part of the prisoner exchange, 70 collaborators were handed over to Russia, including a representative from Kherson - Viktor Kirillov.

Russian bikers brought the eternal flame from Sevastopol to Prague. Their arrival caused protests - activists called the motorcycle rally an attempt to spread Kremlin propaganda in the EU.
