Land and jurors: over 200 questions prepared for Odesa City Council session

Odesa City Council has published a preliminary agenda for the next session to be held on April 29, which will be the 51st meeting of the current council.

According to the preliminary agenda, which is likely to be supplemented, the deputies are proposed to consider 206 issues, most of which relate to land.

For example, the block of issues on granting ownership (lease) of land plots to individuals contains 85 items and may be supplemented. The block of issues on submitting proposals to the Odesa City Military Administration to grant permission to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs to develop land management projects for land allocation includes 21 items. In total, there are 27 land blocks on the agenda. However, this does not mean that MPs will consider and vote on each issue separately. Usually, blocks with similar issues are combined under one vote.

Intent will traditionally broadcast the meetings of the regular session online. Read also: Unbreakable Odesa and management of the UNESCO heritage: deputies gathered for an extraordinary session

The thing is that before getting to the session, the issues go through specialized commissions, which consider each one separately and then approve it at the conciliation board.

In addition to land and issues related to municipal property, the deputies will be asked to approve jury lists for three courts in the district. These issues were discussed at an extraordinary session of the city council, which took place on April 10 and became the 50th session instead of the April 29 session. The issue of jurors caused discussions among the deputies, as they were not supported at the extraordinary session. This caused indignation among deputy Olga Kvasnytska, as the absence of jurors may make it impossible to consider some cases and these cases will be transferred to courts in other localities. The term of office of the current jurors expires this year.
