The historical festival "Knights of the Southern Shores" was held in Odesa on February 10.

A correspondent of Intent visited the knights' competition.

In addition to the actual jousting, visitors were given lectures about the Middle Ages, and a fair of craftsmen and master classes was held.

There were also knight fights in soft armor.

The organizers of the festival, the NGO Tangar HRG, said that their goal was to provide an opportunity to go on an unforgettable journey into the past.

Despite the war and constant Russian attacks, sports competitions are gradually being revived in Odesa. A chess tournament involving 100 children took place in Odesa on July 16, 2023, at the Chornomorets Stadium. The tournament was dedicated to the International Chess Day.

This day is celebrated all over the world and in Ukraine on July 20. The children played on the stadium field.

Meanwhile, on the night of February 9-10, Odesa region was targeted by Russians who used Shahed-131/136 unmanned aerial vehicles to attack.

The first wave of drones was sent directly to Odesa. All nine drones flying over the regional center were destroyed by air defense units. However, the wreckage of one of the downed UAVs damaged a technical building of the port infrastructure, and one of the company's employees was injured.

The enemy directed the second and third waves of attacks at the port infrastructure of the Danube region. They managed to destroy 12 drones.

However, the enemy drones hit the port facilities, injuring three employees. One of them is in serious condition.

Also, the civilian infrastructure of Izmail was damaged: technical premises of industrial and service facilities were destroyed, the road surface, trucks and cars were damaged, windows were smashed in several residential buildings, facades and roofs were damaged.
