The Vysokopil village council has re-announced a tender for the overhaul of a part of the water supply network in the village of Arkhangelske, Beryslav district, Kherson region.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations.

It is noted that the announcement of open bidding appeared on the Prozorro platform on December 5. The winner of the tender will have to carry out large-scale work: dig and bury trenches, lay more than 5 km of pipes and install wells. The expected cost of the work is UAH 21.8 million, and it is planned to be completed by June 30, 2025.

This is the second attempt to repair the water supply system, as the first tender announced in November was to be completed by the end of 2024. Potential bidders pointed out that the deadline was unrealistic, given the scale of the work and weather conditions. As explained by the village council, the initial deadline was conditioned by the terms of funding from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), with whom a memorandum was signed in October. However, after agreement with UNICEF, the deadline was extended to mid-2025.

Only one participant, Bereg Trans Bud LLC, applied for the previous tender, but it turned out that the company's estimate exceeded the expected cost by more than UAH 100,000, which is why the agreement was not concluded.

According to the DREAM system, UAH 7.1 billion is needed to rebuild the Kherson region, of which only UAH 2.4 billion is available so far. The Chornobaiv community submitted the most projects, but only UAH 467 million of the required budget of UAH 1.2 billion is currently available.

Meanwhile, in the Kherson region, philanthropists donated equipment worth half a million hryvnias to restore water supply. Repair work is planned in three villages of the community. The project provides materials for repairing emergency sections of water supply networks in Urozhayne, Rakiv, and other villages. Urozhayne, Rakivka and Taras Shevchenko villages.

The benefactors have recently installed two water towers in the Borozensky community garden.

The Kherson water utility also received special equipment worth UAH 200 million.
