Kherson resident agitated local population to receive Russian passports

In Kherson region, a woman who was the "head of the village" under the occupiers will be tried.

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The statement says that under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, an indictment against a local resident on the fact of collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) was sent to court.

The investigation established that in September 2022, the accused cooperated with the occupiers and took up the position of the so-called "head of the Kirovsky village council" of the Beryslav occupation administration. In her pseudo-position, the woman took measures to establish the occupation authorities in the area. She ensured the functioning of the illegally created authority, recruited employees, and disposed of the village's communal property. She agitated the local population to cooperate with the enemy and obtain a Russian passport.

She is currently in custody, where she will await a court verdict.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the SBU Office in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that a resident of Kherson region is suspected of leasing property to the occupiers and receiving more than half a million rubles in profit. According to the investigation, in December 2022, the 49-year-old suspect voluntarily registered as an individual entrepreneur in the relevant registers of the aggressor country. Later, the woman registered her company on the Russian public procurement web portal, where budgetary institutions act as contractors. Thus, she signed an agreement with the so-called "state treasury institution of the Department of Special Construction of the Kherson Region "Oblremstroy" and leased non-residential and warehouse premises, sites located in Skadovsk.

Also, the occupying head of the Kamianske community will be tried in Kherson region.
