Kherson rescuers overcome consequences of shelling in residential sector

The occupiers do not stop attacking civilians by dropping explosives from drones.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region.

The post says that on September 22 in the evening, due to one of these attacks, a car caught fire in one of the neighborhoods of Kherson. Rescuers arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. It is also noted that rescuers of Kherson region eliminated six fires in open areas during the day. Dead wood and debris were burning on a total area of 6.05 hectares.

The day before, a high-rise building in Kherson was damaged after another enemy shelling. An enemy shell hit one of the apartments, destroying the wall and balcony. Rescuers arrived at the scene, inspected the apartment and dismantled reinforced concrete structures that could have broken and posed a threat to people. Rescuers in Kherson region also extinguished four fires in ecosystems caused by enemy shelling. The total area extinguished was 11 hectares. Kherson firefighters, together with the local fire department of the village of Lymanets, extinguished a fire in a warehouse that was hit by the occupiers. The fire was extinguished by joint efforts.

Earlier it was reported that on September 15 in the evening, enemy troops shelled the city of Kherson once again. As a result of the shelling, a private residential building caught fire in one of the neighborhoods. During the work of fire and rescue units, there was a constant threat of repeated attacks, including from enemy UAVs. Despite all the difficulties, the fire was extinguished. Also on September 15, the 101 service received a report that a building had been destroyed in one of the villages of Novoraysk TG due to night shelling, and that there might be people under the rubble. Rescuers were engaged in search operations. During the debris removal, the body of the deceased was found.
