Kherson Region Enhances Living Conditions for IDPs in Modular Town

At the end of last week, a regular meeting of the Council on Internally Displaced Persons under the Kherson Regional State Administration was held in Kherson region.

According to the press service of the regional administration, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Kherson Regional State Administration, IDP Councils of local administrations, and invited experts.

It is noted that during the event, the participants reviewed the decision of the Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the protection of property and non-property rights of IDPs and other citizens affected by Russia's armed aggression. Particular attention was paid to the issue of children's health improvement. They also discussed the conditions of accommodation of IDPs in a modular town in one of the settlements of Kherson region. In addition, representatives of the IDP Councils of Bilozerska and Muzykivska communities reported on their activities. Following the meeting, further areas of work aimed at improving the living conditions of IDPs in the region were identified.

Earlier it was reported that the modular town for IDPs in Chornobaivska community is ready to receive residents of Kherson region. Internally displaced persons, including people who lost their homes due to Russia, large families, families with children, people with disabilities, combatants, elderly residents of the region, families of deceased veterans and victims of the Chornobyl disaster, can settle there. The town has four modules. Each of them has 21 living rooms with four beds, two showers, two restrooms, a laundry room, a play area, and a kitchen-dining room. In total, 336 people can live here at the same time. Comfortable living conditions have been created for them. All rooms have appliances, furniture, and other necessary equipment. In addition, there is a playground for families with children. The kids will be able to spend their free time in an interesting and useful way.
