Kherson Power Outage on March 5: Repairs After Russian Shelling

On March 5, from 9:00 to 15:00, Kherson will have a scheduled power outage in several districts of the city. Residents of the central part of Kherson, KhBK district and Shumensky district will be left without electricity.

According to Roman Mrochko, the head of Kherson power company, this temporary power outage is necessary for repair works. Specialists will repair the damage to the power grid caused by Russian shelling.

Residents of the city are urged to prepare in advance and take the outage into account in their plans.

On the night of March 5, Russian occupation forces attacked the Korabelny district of Kherson.

According to the Kherson regional prosecutor's office, the shelling took place around 2:00 am. The Russian army attacked the Korabelny district of Kherson with artillery. The attack killed a local resident and damaged residential buildings and other infrastructure.

On March 4, enemy strikes damaged the city's critical infrastructure: part of Odesa was left without electricity, water and heat. The relevant services are currently working to restore the supply.

According to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, the debris of the downed drones damaged private houses in the suburbs of Odesa, causing fires. Rescuers are quickly eliminating the fire. Information about the victims is currently being clarified.

A 77-year-old resident of the village of Limanka was also killed in a drone attack. The man received fatal injuries from shrapnel.

Earlier, Intent wrote that on the night of February 16, Russian drones attacked Mykolaiv CHP, leaving many residents without heating. As a result of the strike, the power generation of the CHPP was completely destroyed. Despite the serious damage, utilities found a solution and restored heat supply.
