During the occupation, a resident of Kherson region agreed to head the local hospital and forced other doctors to support Russia. Law enforcement officers managed to collect evidence, and the court announced the verdict.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, in August 2022, the man voluntarily agreed to head the illegally created Aleshkovsky Central District Hospital. Following the instructions of the occupation administration, he facilitated the re-registration of the institution under Russian law and its integration into the healthcare system of the aggressor country.

In addition, the collaborator was engaged in anti-Ukrainian propaganda, forced doctors to participate in rallies in support of the occupation authorities, and prepared the "evacuation" of the hospital's property to Kalanchak.

The prosecutor's office noted that thanks to the evidence collected, the doctor was brought to justice.

As a result, the resident of Kherson region was found guilty of collaborating with the occupation authorities and aiding the aggressor state. The court sentenced him to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property, as well as a 15-year ban on holding public and managerial positions.
