The Kyiv District Court of Odesa found Pavlo Kyrychenko, a judge of the Ovidiopol District Court of Odesa Region, guilty of fraud and sentenced him to two years in prison.

However, as noted in the court' s verdict, the judge was released from punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

The judge was accused of having allegedly agreed with the victim in 2018 to resolve the issue and expedite the case in the Illichivsk City Court of Odesa Oblast for USD 6,000. Of this amount, 5 thousand were intended for the settlement of the case, and 1 thousand dollars were for him personally.

As a result, the victim handed over the money to the judge's mother, but law enforcement officers did not find evidence of the money transfer to the Illichivsk court. That is why the judge's actions were classified as fraud.

On December 1, 2025, a meeting of the First Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice took place, at which it was decided to temporarily suspend Pavlo Kyrychenko from the administration of justice.

Also in December 2025, the High Council of Justice upheld the decision of the First Disciplinary Chamber to bring judge Ilya Lonsky of the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa to disciplinary responsibility.

On January 9, the High Council of Justice granted a motion filed by Deputy Prosecutor General and Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Oleksandr Klymenko and temporarily suspended judge of the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa Ilya Lonskyi from the administration of justice.

In November, judge of the Prymorskyi District Court Denys Dontsov was suspended from his job until January 2026 after he was detained for bribery together with his lawyer. According to the investigation, they demanded $10,000 for a "favorable" decision in a civil case.
