Invaders killed four men in the temporarily occupied Kherson region

Russian occupants shot four men in the temporarily occupied Kherson region. The war crime occurred in the spring of 2022.

This was reported by the press service of the Department for Investigation of Crimes Committed in the Context of Armed Conflict, Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson Region.

According to the report, Russian Federation servicemen shot dead four men aged 25 to 40. The tragedy occurred on a plot of land opposite a house on Vyzvolyteliv Street in the village of Vysokopillya, Beryslav district.

The identities of three of the four victims remain unidentified. Police are currently working to identify the victims and are actively looking for all witnesses and eyewitnesses to the crime to fully document the incident.

Earlier, under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched into a Russian war crime that led to the death of people.

On the night of September 18, 2025, in the temporarily occupied village of Kozachi Lageri, Kherson district, the Russian military shot three civilians - two men aged 55 and 64 and a woman aged 62.

The intentional killing of civilians is classified as a particularly serious international crime and is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions. Currently, urgent investigative and search activities are underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident and identify the persons involved in the crime. The investigation is being carried out by the Kherson Region Police.

A resident of Kherson was sentenced to 13 years in prison for participating in an illegal law enforcement agency of the occupation authorities. The court also confiscated his property and banned him from holding positions in government, local government or law enforcement agencies for 14 years.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, in May 2022, the 32-year-old agreed to head the medical department of the "Department of the Penitentiary Service" created by the occupation authorities. Before the occupation, he worked as the head of the medical unit No. 90 of the State Institution "Centralized Health Center of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine" in the Kherson region, had experience in organizing medical care for prisoners and access to management processes in the field of penitentiary services.
