In Voznesensk, a program is being implemented to provide free school and sports uniforms to children from eligible groups, and scholarships have also been established for athletes.

Members of the Voznesensk City Council adoptedthe relevant resolutions during its 101st regular session.

Starting January 1, 2027, the city plans to purchase school and sports uniforms annually for orphans, children deprived of parental care, individuals from these groups, as well as children living in foster families, family-type children’s homes, and small group homes who attend the community’s general secondary schools.

As reported during the meeting, the plan is to allocate approximately 4,000 hryvnias per child for the purchase of uniforms. If financial resources become available, this amount may be revised.

The community is also introducing scholarships for athletes. For the first year, 155,000 hryvnias have been allocated in the budget. According to preliminary estimates, about five people will be eligible for the scholarships.

The amount of the payments will depend on the athlete ’s sports title or achievements. Specifically, Honored Masters of Sports of Ukraine will be eligible to receive 3,000 hryvnias, International-Class Masters of Sports of Ukraine—2,500 hryvnias, and Masters of Sports of Ukraine—2,000 hryvnias.

Applications for scholarships will be accepted annually until November 30. Payments are scheduled to be made over a six-month period—from January 1 to June 30. During the meeting, it was also noted that efforts will continue to seek opportunities to increase funding for this program.
