The Executive Committee of the Vilkovo City Council of the Izmail District of Odesa Region has announced an open tender for design and survey work on the reconstruction of water treatment facilities in the city.

An Intent correspondent learned about this from an announcement on the public procurement website Prozorro.

The maximum amount that the customer is willing to pay for the contractor's work is limited to UAH 4 million 682 thousand. The source of funding is the local budget. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. Direct work on the construction of the water supply system will be carried out "as funding is available," as stated in the accompanying documentation. The service life of the restored water supply system is 50 years.

The water treatment plant in Vilkovo with a capacity of 2-3 thousand cubic meters per day consists of: fish protection structures; an inlet channel; a pumping station; two water treatment plants; two clean water tanks with a net capacity of 500 cubic meters each; a 1500-meter-long water main; an access road and a shelter.

The facility will be upgraded in accordance with the realities of the time, i.e., taking into account the possibility of a power outage. In this case, there will be a solar power plant. The two-transformer substation will have a room for a generator. The water treatment plant will have disinfection units. The project should provide for the construction of a new first lift pumping station with fish protection facilities.

The project envisages modern energy-saving and energy-efficient equipment, materials and energy carriers, automated ventilation, heating, and more.

The auction is scheduled for October 8.

As a reminder, at the end of July 2024, an offsite working meeting of the leadership of the Izmail Regional State Administration with the mayor of Vilkovo, Matviy Ivanov, was held with the participation of a project organization from Odesa. The topic of discussion was the project for the reconstruction of pumping stations, the water supply network, and the water treatment plant.

Due to the emergency condition of the water supply system in Vylkove and the power outage, which leads to constant water supply interruptions, regular water supply interruptions began to occur. To solve the acute problem, it was decided to develop design and estimate documentation for the reconstruction of pumping stations, water supply network, and water treatment plant.

Earlier in Odesa Oblast, a meeting was held at the Izmail District Military Administration. In particular, the topic of discussion was the restoration of roads in the district.
