In the Odesa region, drones struck an international border crossing on the border with Moldova

The "Tabaki" international border crossing on the border between the Odesa region and Moldova was damaged in a nighttime drone attack by Russian forces. The passage of people and vehicles was temporarily suspended on the morning of August 21.
 

This was reported by the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service.

On the night of August 21, the enemy attacked the Bolhrad and Izmail districts of the Odesa region with “Shahed”-type strike drones. One of the strikes hit the infrastructure of the “Tabaki” border crossing.

Buildings and structures at the checkpoint were damaged. Fires that broke out at the facilities were extinguished by employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Vehicles are being rerouted to other border crossing points. Border guards are asking citizens to take this situation into account when planning to cross the border.

The Moldovan side has been informed of the damage to the border crossing point.

The night before, Russia attacked the Reni community in the Odesa region with drones. At that time, a strike was recorded on a facility near the “Reni–Giurgiulești” international border crossing. Fires broke out but were extinguished. There were no injuries or fatalities,according tothe Izmail District Military Administration.
