A clash between Odesa residents and a patrol police crew that took place on the night of July 28 in Odesa resulted in the detention of civilians and the hospitalization of a patrol police inspector.

According to the press service of the Patrol Police of Odesa Oblast, the incident occurred on Dmytriyivska Street in the Kyivskyi district of the city. While patrolling the Kyivskyi district, police stopped a Nissan for violating traffic rules.

While checking the documents, the inspectors found out that the driver was wanted for evading registration or mobilization training, so they decided to detain him and bring him to the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.

The man began to resist, behaved aggressively and tried to escape. During the detention, eyewitnesses of the incident, not understanding the situation, began to obstruct the actions of the police. A conflict ensued, during which two people inflicted bodily harm on a police inspector.

The men were detained and taken to the police station to clarify the circumstances. The issue of opening a criminal proceeding over the attack on the police officer is being decided under Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Threat or violence against a law enforcement officer).

The inspectors drew up a report of administrative detention against the driver and took him to the city's Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.

Earlier, the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support initiated an internal investigation into an incident involving military personnel and civilians, the video of which was posted on social media.

Prior to that, it responded to a video showing a woman trying to prevent her husband's detention and trying to prevent him from being taken away in a bus, but the military moved and dragged the woman a few meters.
