In Odesa, the company “Descendants of Solomos,” LLC—which was registered in June 2026—was brought in to carry out repairs on the damaged Solomos building at 4 Preobrazhenska Street. The company filed a request, following which city authorities approved traffic restrictions on that section of the street for the duration of the work.

According to the YouControl analytical system, “Descendants of Solomos” LLC was registered on June 17, 2026. As of September 29, the owner and ultimate beneficiary of the company was Iya Karpiy, who owns 100% of the company and contributed over 26 million hryvnias to its authorized capital. Roman Klyuchnyk is listed as the director.

The company’s primary activity is the organization of building construction. The company’s registered address is listed as 4/1 Preobrazhenska Street—right next to Building No. 4. However, publicly available data does not confirm that the company or its owner is the owner of the historic site itself.
In July, the company appealed to the Odesa City Council to carry out repairs to the building’s damage caused by the Russian attack. Following this, city authorities restricted traffic on the section of Preobrazhenska Street between buildings No. 2 and No. 4.

An information sign near the building states that the company is carrying out the work. The work is described as measures to prevent structural collapses that could endanger people. The work is scheduled to take place from August 3, 2026, to August 3, 2027. Permit No. 2148 is also listed there.
The Solomos Building is a monument of architecture and urban planning of local significance. The structure is associated with architect Vikentiy Prokhaska, and the building’s facade design dates back to 1905.
On the night of July 23, 2023, the building was damaged as a result of a rocket strike on Odesa: the upper part, including the fourth floor, was destroyed, and the structure was damaged.
The timeline of the company’s establishment and the start of construction is particularly noteworthy. The company was registered on June 17; on July 9, it applied to city authorities; on July 22, the mayor signed an order restricting traffic; and on August 3, the one-year construction period indicated on the sign began at the site.

There is no confirmation in publicly available data that the work is being funded from the city or state budget. At the time this article was prepared, the restoration project, cost estimate, detailed list of emergency measures, and information on the actual cost of the work were not publicly available.
Recently, the building at 10 Frantsuzsky Boulevard in Odesa was added to the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine. Two monuments were identified on this site, both of which have already been included in the register.
