In Odesa, a military conscription officer pleaded guilty to the abduction of conscripts

In Odesa, a member of the Territorial Recruitment Center, along with his accomplices, forcibly dragged men of draft age into a service vehicle, using tear gas and physical violence in the process. After pleading guilty, he entered into a plea agreement with investigators and was sentenced by the court to five years and one month in prison.

This is stated in the judgment of the Primorsky District Court of Odessa. 

All three victims provided written consent to the plea agreement between the defendant and the prosecutor. 

According to the case file, the defendant, Andriy Andriyev, was a member of a group responsible for collecting and verifying military registration data at one of the territorial centers for recruitment and social support (TCRS) in the city of Odesa. In April 2026, together with his accomplices, he carried out three incidents of unlawful detention of men without police involvement and without establishing legal grounds for restricting their freedom.

For this offense, the court sentenced him to two years of imprisonment. Since the defendant had previously received a five-year suspended sentence for drug trafficking, the court added the remaining portion of that sentence to his current sentence. The defendant was ultimately sentenced to five years and one month in prison.

As reported by Intent, another serviceman from the Territorial Defense Forces fully admitted his guilt in the unlawful detention and torture of a civilian man during mobilization operations in Odesa. Based on a plea agreement, the court sentenced him to seven years of imprisonment, with a ban on holding positions in military recruitment agencies.
