At a meeting of the Mykolaiv City Council, deputies considered the liquidation of three preschool education institutions in Mykolaiv.

This became known during a session of the Mykolaiv City Council.

According to Intent, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych brought up the issue of closing kindergartens #104, #128 and #138 for consideration .

During the discussion, deputy Tetyana Kyselova pointed out that even in the absence of children, the institutions maintained staff who received salaries, and the buildings continued to be heated. According to her, at one time, only 26 children were in kindergarten #104, who have now become schoolchildren.

In response, it was reported that there are currently no queues for kindergartens in the city, other institutions operate nearby, and there is a shortage of children in general.

As a result, the deputies supported the decision to liquidate kindergarten No. 104.

At the same time, Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, emphasized that he supports the payment of salaries to employees even during downtime, as this is financial support for people in difficult times. At the same time, he emphasized that the coming year will be difficult, and resources should be directed to recovery and energy.

According to him, such issues are not currently a priority, and the city needs to accumulate resources for stable operation.

After that, the deputies considered the issue of liquidating kindergartens #128 and #138, but the relevant decisions were not supported.

Earlier, the Mykolaiv City Council decided to reorganize the city's medical network on a large scale. It envisages the merger of hospitals into a single structure and the transfer of one of the maternity hospitals to the ownership of the region.

At the time, Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych explained that the facility was unprofitable due to the low number of births and needed constant additional funding.

After the transfer:

At the same time, significant funds have already been invested in the institution - tens of millions of hryvnias in repairs and equipment.

As Intent previously wrote, Mykolaiv is preparing for a major overhaul of the city's Children's Hospital No. 2
