Kherson has expanded the list of organizations that can engage people to perform socially useful work as part of their conscription during martial law.

The corresponding order was signed by the head of the Kherson City Military Administration Yaroslav Shanko.

The document provides for amendments to the order No. 06-n dated January 14, 2026, which regulates the introduction of labor service and the organization of socially useful works on the territory of the Kherson city territorial community.

According to the new amendments, two more organizations were added to the list of customers of such works:

These organizations submitted letters to the city military administration in early March 2026. After reviewing them, it was decided to amend the list of customers for public works.

It should be added that labor service was introduced in Kherson in May 2023. It was introduced temporarily, for the period of martial law in Ukraine on the territory of the Kherson city community.

These works will involve "able-bodied persons, including persons not subject to military service, who, by age and health condition, have no restrictions on working under martial law (except for able-bodied persons involved in defense and public welfare and booked by enterprises during martial law to perform defense-related work, as well as persons involved in national resistance activities)."

Earlier, Kherson launched a pilot project called My City, an online platform designed to provide faster and easier communication between the community and the city administration.
