In Kherson, the occupiers destroyed a facility that provided heat to 500 homes

Russian troops have once again attacked one of the key heating facilities in Kherson, which provided heat to nearly half a thousand homes. Following this latest strike, the facility has been completely knocked out of operation.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration, which released a video showing the aftermath of the shelling.

According to the Military Administration, Russian troops have struck this facility more than a thousand times since the start of the full-scale war. The facility has repeatedly been the target of deliberate attacks, and the latest shelling completely destroyed what remained after previous damage.

As a result of the nighttime attack, critical components of the plant have been completely disabled. The facility is now destroyed and inoperable.

The city’s military administration noted that, despite the complete destruction, Russian troops continue to shell the plant’s territory using various types of weapons.

Recently, in the Kherson region, constant Russian strikes on energy infrastructure were officially classified as a threat of an emergency situation. The situation with Kherson’s heat supply was also given this status due to the risk of disrupting the heating season.

In a separate decision, the commission recognized the situation with Kherson’s heat supply as a threat of a man-made emergency.

This refers to the implementation of a project to decentralize the city’sheat supplysystem. If it is not completed on time, more than 500 apartment buildings could be left without heat this winter due to Russian shelling of the centralized system.

Earlier, Intent reported that Russian troops had turnedthe Kherson Thermal Power Plantinto a target for regular shelling. Although the power plant has been out of service for several months and is no longer functioning, shelling of the facility continues almost daily.

The plant officially ceased operations on December 4 of last year due to constant shelling.
