<span><span><span><span><span><span>The director of the municipal enterprise “Khersonmiskosvitlo” was sentenced for collaborating with the occupying administration, putting the aggressor state’s national currency into circulation, and voluntarily transferring vehicles belonging to the municipal enterprise.</span></span></span></span></span></span>
<span><span><span><span><span><span>This is stated in the verdict of the Kherson City Court.</span></span></span></span></span></span>
<span><span><span><span><span><span>The court sentenced the defendant to 12 years in prison. </span></span></span></span></span></span>
<span><span><span><span><span><span>The investigation established that the convicted man, while serving as director of the municipal enterprise, accepted an offer to take a position at a municipal enterprise illegally established by the occupiers. He subsequently re-registered the entity under Russian law and hired staff. Later, he helped introduce the Russian national currency into circulation by paying the employees of that entity their wages in Russian rubles. </span></span></span></span></span></span>
<span><span><span><span><span><span>Investigators also found that the convicted individual organized the illegal transfer and handover to the occupiers on the left bank of the Kherson region of two aerial work platforms belonging to the municipal enterprise. Specifically, these were:</span></span></span></span></span></span>
<span><span><span><span><span><span>A witness who works at the company confirmed that the aerial work platforms were transported. The man noted that on the day the equipment was moved, the director was already on the left bank of the Dnipro River but continued to manage the company. He called and gave orders to drive the aerial work platforms to the vehicle depot behind </span></span></span></span></span></span>the train station, and from there to the left bank<span><span><span><span><span><span>. The defendant also offered the witness a ride to the left bank, but the witness refused. </span></span></span></span></span></span>
The organizer of the election commission for the pseudo-referendum in the Kherson region was also sentenced. The woman was sentenced to nine years in prison for organizing and supervising the work of members of Precinct Election Commission No. 301, compiling so-called voter lists, and oversaw the commission’s handling of other election documentation, received and was responsible for storingballots, posted campaign materials promoting the need for the so-called referendum, and organized the placement of voting booths and materials bearing Russian Federation symbols on the premises of Kherson Specialized School No. 12 (Grades I–III) with an in-depth French language program.
