Relatives of the victims from the Bolhrad community in Odesa region organized a rally calling on local authorities to set up an Alley of Glory in honor of the victims.

There is still no Walk of Fame in Bolhrad, so relatives and journalists set up their own memorial near the monument on the central square, the Mahala newspaper reported.

They set up flags with the names of their deceased relatives, brought portraits, and lit lamps. According to the newspaper, the public has been talking about the arrangement of the Walk of Fame in Bolgrad for several years. The relatives of the victims have been appealing to the local council on this issue, but they have not received a concrete answer as to when the construction will begin.

Daria Afanasievna Kalov, the mother of the deceased senior lieutenant, emphasized that there is enough space in Bolhrad to arrange the Alley, and if the city does not have the funds for this, the relatives of the victims agree to raise the funds and provide them to the authorities to arrange the Alley of Glory. Now there is a makeshift memorial in Bolhrad as a reminder of the heroic deeds of the residents of the Bolhrad community who died defending the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

In July, the installation of an information stand with photos of fallen soldiers from the city was completed on Peremohy Square in Izmail, Odesa Oblast. The stand was set up in the square following the May meetings of the city's leadership with representatives of the city's public, volunteers, war veterans and families of the victims. UAH 98,000 was spent on installing memorial signs and plaques on the lawn in front of the city council building. Another 60 thousand budget hryvnias were reserved for the memorialization of the fallen defenders. The structure is a temporary alternative to the Alley of Glory, which is being built in the northern part of Victory Square for UAH 12.5 million by the Rodnik private enterprise of Izmail City Council member Igor Dekhtyarev.
