The Kherson City Court has sentenced Maryna Arkhangelska, who took the position of illegal dean of the Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University, which was seized by the Russians, during the occupation.

The verdict was published on the website of the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.

As the investigation established, during the occupation, Arkhangelska voluntarily cooperated with the enemy, actively implementing the educational standards of the Russian Federation. She organized the admission of students, provided the educational process exclusively in Russian, personally taught disciplines and held academic councils. At these councils, she urged her fellow teachers to improve their skills in Russian institutions and approved curricula in accordance with the norms of the Russian Federation. The court canceled the arrest of her property.

Earlier, the occupied Kherson Technical University revealed alleged misuse of public funds allocated to support students with disabilities.

According to sources, the rector of the university, Halyna Raiko, signed an order to pay bonuses to administrative staff totaling more than 3 million rubles. At the same time, the real needs of 68 students with disabilities were left without proper funding.

Among the recipients of the funds are heads of occupation departments and employees who do not work directly with students or support programs. The payments were explained by the support of the support center for students with disabilities.

Earlier, Raiko had already received a suspicion from the SBU. According to the investigation, this was manifested in the integration of KNTU into Russian educational standards, the seizure of the university and its closure from access by current employees. Rajko also took measures to develop a new university charter, create seals, and persuade employees to cooperate with the occupation administration.
