The authorities granted the local company the use of hunting grounds for 15 years. The council's environmental commission will be responsible for monitoring compliance with the terms of use.

The relevant decision was made at a session of the Mykolaiv City Council.

At the thirtieth extraordinary session of the regional council, deputies decided to transfer hunting grounds to Volodymyrivka Hunters LLC.

The relevant plot with a total area of 8561.3 hectares is located on the territory of Volodymyrivka and Bereznehuvata communities of Bashtanka district, as well as within Vradiyivka and Yelanets communities.

According to the decision, the company receives the land for use from July 5, 2025 for a period of 15 years - until July 4, 2040. The State Agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine is to conclude an agreement with the company on the terms of hunting management.

The document states that this should take into account the peculiarities of work in the territories of the nature reserve fund. Control over the implementation of the decision was entrusted to the regional council's specialized commission on ecology, environmental protection, nature management, tourism and recreation.

Last year, the development of tourist infrastructure was planned in the national park in Mykolaiv region. Local businesses will be involved in the implementation of this project. During the meeting, they discussed recreational areas that could become the basis for tourist facilities in the park.

As a result, specific locations for infrastructure placement were identified and included in the development plan of theBuzky Gard National Nature Park. Entrepreneurs are to be involved in the project and the development of tourist facilities.

Also last October, the Mykolaiv region decided to deprive the Andriyivsky tract in the Olshanska community of its reserve status due to large-scale fires. Over the past three years, almost 500 hectares of the total 1,294 hectares of forest have burned down here. To eliminate the consequences of the fires, it was proposed to cancel the reserve status of the entire tract and transfer it to the category of "operational forests." This will allow the burned trees to be cut down and firebreaks to be created.
