In 2024, deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council declared millions in assets: estates, hectares of land, dozens of vehicles and fleets of cars. Some invest in land, others keep cash "under the pillow" or lend millions to their own businesses.

The Center for Public Investigations found out which MPs were the richest and which ones declared the minimum property and income.

MP Valeriy Bednyi from the Servant of the People party became the leader in terms of income, declaring UAH 98.2 million, of which 93.8 million were dividends from the Zorya agricultural company. He also declared UAH 125 million in savings, most of which was cash in hryvnia. The rest was made up of salaries, rent and business income.

Serhiy Shulhach from "Propozytsiya" declared several times less. He declared UAH 11.1 million, of which more than UAH 7.5 million came from business. His family has UAH 44.4 million in savings, including loans to companies worth more than UAH 27 million. The MP indicated UAH 600 thousand from the sale of three vehicles, although the declaration shows a decrease of only two buses. His and his wife Oksana Shulhach's daughter Anastasia received a million hryvnias, of which 945 thousand was a gift from her father.

The bulk of the family budget was provided by the MP's husband, who earned UAH 5.8 million from business.

Her fellow party member Vitaliy Porkhun is in fourth place, having declared 5.5 million hryvnias. Of this amount, 2.8 million is business income, 1.2 million is from the sale of a Toyota RAV-4 Hybrid, and the rest is salary. His wife Alesya declared 346.4 thousand hryvnias of income.

The top five richest deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council in 2024 are rounded out by non-factionalTetiana Demchenko, a former representative of the banned OPFL. Her family's total income amounted to 5.3 million hryvnias. Of this amount, only 500 thousand was the MP's personal income: 236 thousand hryvnias from rent, 161.9 thousand hryvnias from pension, and another 100 thousand hryvnias from the farm "Rudenko V.I.". The main income was declared by her husband Hryhorii: 4.7 million hryvnias.
